Austrailia - Mar 15 - Sydney

Mar 15 - Sydney

POL:
Today was a travel day combined with some minor exploration in Sydney.  Our flight was full but left on time and arrived maybe ten minutes early.  The airline loaded again from both the front and back of the aircraft.  They also unloaded from both front and back.  This method really sped up the process of getting people on and off the aircraft.

Once in Sydney we checked into the hotel, changed into tourist clothes, and headed out for an adventure.  The adventure was a walk across the Sydney Harbor Bridge.  The bridge was built in1932 and spans the harbor.  For a mere $250 USD you can take a walk to the top of the bridge and back down again.  For free you can walk across the bridge on the walkway.  We chose the walkway.  The view was still awesome.
Once that hike was complete we hiked to the Sydney Opera House.  Unfortunately there were no tours available until the day after we leave Sydney UNLESS we wanted a tour in German.  So we toured the outside.  It is an iconic building.  Built in the late 1960's it is a focal point in the harbor.
When we had enough of our hike we made our way back to the hotel and had a meeting to plan the next couple of days.  Then it's time for much needed showers and bedtime.
Tomorrow will be another adventure.
